If you want to level-up your training, putting a race on your calendar naturally gives your training a timeline and specificity. Instead of waiting until you're "in racing shape" to train for an event, you can use an event to "get in racing shape." And while you don't have to continue racing to stay or maintain your shape, it's certainly a great way to boost fitness, meet people, build confidence, and have fun!
I will create your training plan for your race or refer you to my triathlon coach. I recommend continuing virtual training with me at any cadence to cross train with strength (weight-train) and recovery (yoga/ stretch) modalities. I'm also happy to share my knowledge & resources throughout your training.
